The 2022 College National Final Rodeo will be held in Casper in a few months, and contestants from across the country will compete for glory. There is no college rodeo better than the CNFR since it is the best of the best.
Here, the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) crowns the individuals who win their respective events, including Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Saddle Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Bareback Riding, Breakaway Roping, Tie-Down Roping, Steer Wrestling, and Goat Tying.
Men’s and women’s national teams are also recognized with national championships. There will be 11 regional teams, consisting of cowboys and cowgirls competing in Casper, Wyoming, during the CNFR from Sunday, June 12th-Saturday, June 18th, 2022.
More than 400 cowboys and cowgirls compete in Casper from more than 100 universities and colleges every year. NIRA members compete in one of 11 NIRA regions for a chance to compete at the CNFR. The qualification will be based on the top two male and female teams from each NIRA’s 11 regions and the top three students in each event.

On Sunday, June 12th, at 1:00 PM, the 2022 CNFR will start with the “Bulls, Broncs and Breakaway” performance. The following two days, between Monday, June 13th and Tuesday, June 14th, Slack will be held, followed by main performances at 7:00 PM each night until finals on Saturday, June 18th. Main Events
The College National Finals Rodeo has traditionally featured nine main events. It is customary for each event to award its own prize money.
