The 2020 Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping back numbers have finally been made official.
The no. 1 jersey will be worn by Cole Patterson, who is this regular season’s leader in the world standings. The NFSR will run between Nov. 6 & 7 in Mulvane, Kan.
Cole joins his, four-time world champion, father, Rocky. He holds the no/ 14 spot in the world standings.
While commenting on his top standing at the table, Cole said, “It’s every kid’s dream growing up to put on that gold buckle. There’s really no other reason why we do it.”
The NFSR will start at 7:30pm (CT) each night at the Kansas Star Arena and contesters will be seeking to dethrone Trevor Brazil, who is the reigning champion. Tickets go for $28 and are available here.
The 15 will be fighting for the world championship title and a piece of the $425,000 purse.
Each round has six paid places, first ($9,155); 2nd ($7,577: 3rd ($5,998); 4th ($4,420); 5th ($$2,841) and 6th ($1,579).
The average also pays six places, with the 1st getting $27,347), 2nd ($22,632) and the preceding ones getting, $17,917, $13,202, $8,487 and $4,715 respectively.
The Texans NFR is scheduled for 3-12 December 2020 at Globe Life Field, Arlington.
